Stardew Valley Mod: SMAPI?

A "mod" is just a package of files that modifies Stardew Valley in some way. Mods can add features (like showing NPC on the map), changing game mechanics (how to decay fences more slowly), make aesthetic changes (like making your home look like a hobbit home), and more.
Using mods is easy! You just need:

1. Install SMAPI. This is the mod loader for Stardew Valley: start the game with mod support and allow mods to interact directly with the game code. It is safely installed along with your normal game and you can uninstall it at any time.
2. Unzip the changes in the Mods folder.

Part 1: Install SMAPI

1. Run the game without SMAPI at least once (so that it can perform the initial setup).
2. Download the latest version of SMAPI from HERE
3. Extract the .zip file somewhere (but not in the game folder!).
4. Double-click install on Windows.bat and follow the instructions on the screen
   . The installer will detect your game and add SMAPI for you. Alternatively, go to the "internal" folder and extract with a program like 7-zip or winzip or winrar the file "windows-install.dat (which is actually a simple .zip), at this point copy all its contents into the game's installation folder. The mods should be placed in the Mods folder. To start the game by loading the mods, start "StardewModdingAPI.exe
